Real Stories: Sudden health issues meant she couldn’t repay her personal loan

Sue was a career nurse and had recently taken out a significant personal loan to pay off a handful of debts, and then she suffered a serious medical event. She was unable to work and therefore unable to pay this loan arrangement.

Sue approached Better Place Australia's free financial counselling service because she resided in a funded area. Our financial counsellor, Christine, went into mediation with the creditor.
